Those among us who might be considering internet purchases of ammunition need to read this.
On Jan 15, 2014, such purchases become illegal. On that day and thereafter, all ammunition purchases originating within the state must be conducted face-to-face.
The SAFE act also requires a background check. Unfortunately the NY State Police have already determined that they cannot meet that date with a functional means to conduct those checks: this after a year's time to prepare....
