Suppressors AAC MK13-SD???

Re: AAC MK13-SD???

I have one of the first 10 made and it was still called a 300SD. Its a very well made suppressor. Ti construction and light as a feather. Its on my 284 right now and does an excellent job. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I found one locally. I do have a FDE MK13 in gov limbo.... so if there is a huge difference I can report back.

I notice that AAC's 2012 catalog says that it's 90 tooth, but doesn't have the taper like the SR5 and 7.

Re: AAC MK13-SD???

The 90t mount has more teeth to better engage the suppressors latch quicker. It has a light bevel to the face of the teeth now to promote better lockup. Without custom fitting each brake to the can as I was doing with my other 51t mounts.... this is the most solid AAC QD can I own.

Re: AAC MK13-SD???

Thanks for the info KYS338 I have one in limbo also just wanted to get some reviews just invade I want to order another

Re: AAC MK13-SD???

Does anyone know the difference between the AAC 300-SD and the new AAC Mk-13. I know the Mk-13 comes in FDE and the serial number sequence appears to re-start with the Mk-13 series.
Just curious ???
Thank you.

I've heard they are one in the same. AAC has made the same model under several model names more than once.

Re: AAC MK13-SD???

I've handled a MK-13SD and its extremely lightweight. As mentioned earlier, it has a really solid lockup. Theres a pretty good deal on gunbroker right now for one. It comes with 2 90T Muzzle Brakes free

When you get a chance, please post your opinion of the Mk-13.
Thank you.

Any updates?

old thread, new topic.

We got a box full of these in as surplus. Nice for Mk13 builds, but probably for general 30 cal bolt guns. The problem is we got more suppressors than muzzle devices. We are selling as matched pairs but have enough without muzzle devices that we might need to make some muzzle devices. I would rather have someone else make a brake, but let's see how that goes.

Just sharing.

$100, and I'll buy one... I'd still have to send it off to ECCO to get threaded 1.375x24 to run a KeyMo or DT 5/8x24 mount in it.
Emailed Nick already. That is an option. Making muzzle devices is another option.

the AAC 762 Mk13 is a good suppressor. Our attraction is to the military correct factor

That's what I'm saying... If it was running a modern (attainable) mount system, then it would be worth something, but in current config, unless, you already own a ton of 90-tooth mounts, then that can is basically useless. I'm glad I never jumped on the AAC train years ago when a lot of my friends did. It would make a great DMR can w/ a 5/8x24 DT setup and threaded 1.375x24.

What would you sell one for that had been previously sent through ECCO with that mod done, and fresh cerakote job to look new? I know cerakote usually runs $20-30 or so for a can. If they are cheap enough, after the ECCO modding, I'd consider getting one from you, because then I could run a KeyMo or DT setup.
