if bought new from AAC it will come with shims. That can take the longest amount of time and be the most frustrating trying to find the right combo. Never use more than 3, I try to never use more than 2 and so far on ~10 muzzle devices have gotten them all on with 2.
I always try to get hand tight(most peoples hand tight is about 15-20 ft. lbs) until about 10-15 degrees before its timed because the rockset will make it slightly easier to turn than just dry. Pull it apart, hose the barrel threads and brake down with brake clean one last time, let it all dry, then rockset and put the brake on. If you dont like how it is or dont think your torque is where it should be yank it off, spray it down with brake clean and re-do it. You have a decent amount of time to work with rockset.
