It's a hard economy right now. Remington probably isn't happy SOCOM's contract went to Surefire.

Good thing I bought everything I wanted from AAC. This could get bad if Kevin decides to sue. Not sure what happened but I would say everyone is on edge.
Hope they get it sorted out, but that's what you get when you sell to a large company.

hmm, i see would AAC going downhill somewhat. Im basing this off the fact that when a large company buys you, they try to increase profits. usually accountants get into the process and then you have a decrease in quality.
kinda sucks for that guy, but he didnt need to sell his company did he? or was he forced to?

It's not gonna be cheap for Rem , he holds the patent for alot of AAC's "proprietary" processes

not necessarily, you have to be able to defend the patents as well, not just hold them.

If Remington didn't secure ownership or legal rights to of all of his patents when they paid for the company, that would be a colossal error. I doubt the legal department makes errors that big.

Agree! But my statement reflects everyone involved including the end users. Who will probably end up with a lesser quality product since its all about that all mighty dollar.

If he wanted to keep control of his baby, he shouldn’t have sold his soul to the big boys. When you get greedy you get screwed.
Once you sell out, you are no longer the top dawg and you don't have the privileges of calling all the shots.
I just hope this doesn't cause AAC to go downhill.

Hopefully he handled his package right and they have to pay out his employemnt contract and his non-compete is short so he can start up a new shop

Its really common for this to happen. And with a little inside info, it really was a clash of style from the get go. Remington learned what they needed under Kevins leadership and figured out who and what they nedded for replacing him. And escorting him out like that is common practice in the corporate world. You dont give a leader time, they are simply replaced especially when they know aboutthe business intimately like he did.
People really are making more out of this than there really is.

I am eagerly waiting to see how this effects AAC in the long run. I have several suppressors so I hope they continue as usual.
