I ordered some Aadmount scope caps on July 2nd and received them today. I received them quicker than anticipated and really wanted to share that they look and feel excellent! I must admit I was a little Leary buying what seemed like an improved butler creek cap, but these are great. I was also a little concerned from the pictures I’ve seen that they wouldn’t be “black enough”, well they are a deep flat black without any hint of gray.

I was pleasantly surprised that the “activation” lever on the objective lens was black and not red like the other pics I’ve seen. Here are some pics, from my first impressions and the warranty I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these. 5625566F-310D-4B4C-A078-74E1EA47191C.jpeg5625566F-310D-4B4C-A078-74E1EA47191C.jpeg524AB99A-A925-4439-83E5-68F469EFDAFD.jpeg7E6066EF-9AAC-47E2-869A-CF30705BEF67.jpegFE452106-0265-408F-AE53-16AA7375ACAC.jpeg

Anyone know if the DMR/XRS/ERS set that he sells will fit a DMR2? I don't think there are any real physical differences between the DMR/DMR2 but I noticed he had different caps for the XRS2 and I'm not sure what changed there.

So i put mine on an XRS2, The diff between the xrs2 and the dmr 2 is the xrs has a locking focus. I know its a diff cap from the dmr2, but i cant give reliable info whether or not the dmr2 uses the same caps as the original dmr/ers/xrs

I sent a message to Aadmount and Jon replied right away:

"Yes [DMR/XRS/ERS caps fit DMR2], I don't think there were any significant dimensional changes between the DMR and DMRII. There were for the XRS and XRSII though. "

Jake, can you quit beating me to all the good stuff! Just kidding, hopefully there's a match Saturday so I can see them in action. Need a set for the Cronus.

I had no idea these were 3D printed, pretty cool. A while back I read how Ferrari was 3D printing some crazy complex intake manifolds for there engines. Sure is cool!

@Tunnah, you just need to Tell me about these cool things like this after you get them! Hopefully they don’t melt in the blistering heat and Sahara dust!

Those are SLS 3d printed. If you look on the angle just above the text you can see the layer lines. They're made from a powdered nylon that is sintered with a laser...cool machines but expensive and slow as hell to run! I can't wait to get a DMLS printer.

3D printing is a non-issue concerning quality, if the design is done properly. We use printed drill guides with slip fit bushings and a sleeve to reduce variance in angularity when hand drilling. That is for aerospace. Its becoming a very cost effective option and will become the standard for many items. To that point, I'll have to order a throw lever and bubble level from you soon Tyler.

On that note, anyone have their contact info?
I tried the website contact form, with no luck.
I googled their number and called, no answer.
I want to buy a set for my new sightron and since the dimensions are a bit different than the other models, I wanted some direction from them.

It can take a bit for them to get back to you, but they'll be helpful when they do. I have one of their AADMOUNT 30MM and it's been great, along with 3 sets of caps.

They are as legit as they come for caps. Just order them if they are out of stock and they'll ship in a couple of weeks - they aren't big on stocking and I get the impression they get a que of work built up and then make batches, because I've never had to wait more than 2 weeks.

I'm certain that's the case. With SLS printing you end up with a bunch of powder with your parts inside regardless of batch size...so it's in your best interest to fill up the chamber! Similar to SLA.
