Rifle Scopes ? about Burris 1-8 BDC

You gentlemen that have been using the XTR II 1-8...how compatible is the BDC with 77 SMK out of 16" barrel? Do we know what load it was designed for?

Also is there a preference between SFP and FFP for this scope?

can't answer your ballistic question as i don't know the load, that said it would be pretty easy to adapt. I attached a quick reticle analysis i just did for you. ffp vs sfp is personal preference, i personally like sfp in low powered optics because ffp tends to be finer/harder to use on low magnification, and i find myself either on 1x or the highest power and rarely in between. i would check out both and see what you like.


edit, the numbers didn't save with the image, so using their calculator, with 2000 altitude, standard temp/humidity, with a 100 yard zero, top of the verticle line below the cross hair is 154, first line is 244, second is 336, third is 432, bottom is 534

I looked at this recently, you might be able to querry your scope. I use the 1.5-8.
