Accuracy Int question

If you have a AI AE MKII, can you get in touch with AI, give them the sn., and have another barrel made that will headspace correctly? How bout if you wanted a 260Rem barrel made? Thanks for your input. krw

From what I understand they should all headspace the same. I've heard but don't own one. Your supposed to be able to take a bolt from a different gun and it will headspace correctly.

OP don't waste you time calling AI for a .260 barrel. Just call GA Precision and they will spin you up one.

I've got 2x 308, 1x 6mm crusader and a 243win barrel. All from GAP and all shooters.

So when you call GAP, they can cut a bbl without you having to send action to them?

I spoke with GAP last week about getting a 260 barrel for my AE. They said np but I had to send it in and was looking at about 4 weeks for turn around.

This has been discussed before.

You should be able to order a barrel and install it on your AI.

Company policy is a different matter.

Well, that was my understanding also but I guess that implies if you buy a bbl from AI. If you buy a bbl from GAP and have them chamber and fit it, they want the action.. They sent me an email yesterday.
