Brand new gun has about 100 rounds through it. It has a 1/10 AINA .308 barrel

I was checking my fired brass and it seems a bit larger .004"-.006” then the rest of my .308 guns.

I grabbed my PTG headspace gauges and threw them in the gun. The "GO" Gauge obviously functions normal.

I can however close the bolt on the "NO GO" under resistance. In an attempt to quantify how much resistance. There’s enough resistance that one finger on the bolt will not allow it to close. But if running the bolt quickly it will close completely.

Is this normal?

I know the AI’s are built for field environments so if the head spacing runs a little loose for reliability sake…well…ok. I don’t expect bench rest type spacing but I also don’t want to ignore a problem if its really a problem.

Thanks

Yeah,

I wasnt going to pick this sore like 13 year old with pimples. A galled up action would likely follow

I closed it twice. The first time I didnt realize what happened, the second to confirm I wasnt nuts.

Thanks
