This is too good of a deal to pass up, so I just bought another one. I know that guys have these taken off brand new and replaced with other barrels, but I can't imagine that they could be any better than these. I shoot my rifle out to 1000 yards and have absolutely no complaints. I bought the tools necessary to change the barrel myself, and plan on my son, and his son enjoying this long after I am gone. And another thing, My barrel has about 1000 rounds down it, and I have only cleaned it once. And when I did clean it, I could hardly get anything out of it, so decided to not waste any time on that until my groups start to open up, which has not happened yet. I cannot say too many good things about these barrels!

Barrel received, that was fast!. Pristine barrel, not a single mark on the outer surfaces, not sure how it was removed! There is minor trace of copper near the muzzle, barrel was test fired.

they would have been "proof tested" at a guess,..its a legal requirement in the UK. Most likely LW in origin,...for us in the UK we envy u the fact you get Bratlein barrels as standard!

Thanks, my AE was purchased several years ago, SN AE8610 any ideas who made the barrel? I was informed that at one time AI made their own barrels "Cooper?"
