Anyone know if there is a way to figure out the manufacture date on an AE? I have an older one that does not have the T-slot or the hole for the factory bipod attachment.

On mine, the first two digits of the serial number are 03, which is the last two digits of the year of manufacture, in this case 2003.

Mine has a 4 digit serial number that starts with 89. I know that can't be the year, but it was a good try.

Well, the serial number on my receiver is 03 AE 85XX. The bolt is marked only with the last 4 digits.
You might contact Accuracy International if you really need the year it was made.
