Accuracy International AW Folding Chassis - Retrofitting Rear Section
I believe you will have to send it to AI and don't quote me, but when inquired about this in the past I was told it would be very expensive, like $2,000 plus if I remember correctly.
So first thing you need to do is look at the stock with the sides off. Look at the space between the actual action and cheekrest area....and note whether its got the circular pressed pin or welded on.
Back when Stacy worked there pins were easier to do than welds.....but it sounds like its expensive no matter what now.....if they'll do it.
I guess I just came into the bolt action scene a decade too late - it's been difficult trying to piece together an Accuracy International AW (in a more realistic chamber of .308) the way I remember it, with the bolt on the proper side of the gun.
