Accuracy International AXSA Bolt Question ?

I have just purchased an Accuracy International AXSA in 6mm Creedmoor. Has the .308 bolt with small firing pin.
My question is does AI make a short action bolt with a Mag bolt face ? I would like to set this rifle up to shoot my 6mm SST II but need a Mag bolt face.

Bummer, I guess the only option would be to purchase another bolt assembly and have it opened up and re heat treated etc ?

There is somebody that’s been playing with it, not sure how that’s going. The extractor design won’t allow the large case head because it’s position in the bolt body is fixed.

Gotcha, well that’s not great news ! And I assume the bolt head is not interchangeable? Sorry for what seems to be dumb questions but never owned an AI before this one and still don’t have my hands on it yet due to California’s 10 day wait period.

Once you get it in hand you’ll see what I mean. The bolt head is a separate piece, but not interchangeable across case head families

Thank you very much Supersubs I greatly appreciate your passing of knowledge on this question. I do know of someone that was working on this but I believe he has set it aside at the moment. There may be another I do not know of still pursuing hopefully.
Still happy to have an AIAX in the arsenal....

I needed a little bit of advice and opinions on this kit. I’ve been getting a few PM’s on the kit since Frank mentioned it. I have a working 223 conversion that we’ve made at the shop. It fed factory ammo really well with a slight stall maybe 4-8% of the time. I can’t get it replicate the issue...
