Has anyone ever checked their accuracy with and without a muzzle brake?
I know it would change the harmonics but for better or worse? Or depends?.
I'm just interested in thoughts or opinions on this or if anyone has tried it.

I recently tested this on my 6.5 CM RPR. I was also testing the Limbsaver Barrel Damper device. So 'BOTH' is the Damper and the brake. Bare is without either, then there's damper only and brake only. These are all at 100 yds with Hornady 140 gr BTHP. As you can see, accuracy was the same with a bare barrel vs with the brake installed. It did get better w/ both the damper and the brake.

If you have identified the proper charge weight through your load workup, accuracy will be unaffected but you will probably have a POI shift when shooting with/without the brake.

Try it with your rifle and find out. I've never specifically tested for it, but have shot in the same day with a muzzle brake and without, and don't notice an appreciable difference in group size.

I'll specifically test this next time I'm at the range for shits and giggles, and see what I come up with.
