Having been hand wringing about a custom build (by a sometimes mentioned builder on this site) that is, thus far, 6 months overdue from the original delivery date, and having just received my AAC MK13 for which I have no rifle to mount it to, I did the only reasonable thing any among us would do... go buy another rifle. The local shop had a deal on an AAC-SD, so all I needed were a 90T brake and some scope mounts and I would be in business. But that is not the exact course most of us would go. After reading so many favorable reviews, I called Mark at Accurate Ordnance and together we devised a plan to satiate my angst over the painfully delinquent one-off super rifle. I already have a Manners stock (and love it), Manner's reputation for customer service is unsurpassed, and I have spoken with Tom. So it was going to be one of Tom's stocks for sure. That and a bolt knob were the only two things I knew I was getting at that time. I was going to go with a MCS-T in GAP camo, but Mark mentioned a T3 in midnight camo he had laying around. He sent a pic with the caveat that the image does it no justice. Now that I have the stock in hand I can tell you that it is beautiful well beyond the images below. So off went the rifle in a brown truck headed a few miles north on I-85. I then put in an order for a Tab HD sling from Rifles Only.

The brown truck pulled up at my wife's shop this morning and it turns out I got more than I was asking for. Not just great work (the bedding and inletting is so precise it looks like it was all machined as one piece) and great customer service, but a warp speed turn around time.

This posting is premature in that I have not yet received the NF scope, and Southwest Ammunition is backed up with the current madness... so no range time just yet. When it's all together I shall post a very complete review of everything involved with firing this rifle. I was going to wait but I'm so happy with how it turned out I wanted to share, and give two thumbs up to Accurate Ordnance.

Manners T3 in Midnight, 2 flush cups
Badger Bottom Metal
Bedding/Pillars, of course
Badger Ordnance Bolt Knob
Badger 20 MOA Rail
Nightforce Rings
Timney Trigger
