I see that the ACOG is calibrated for a few different calibers and bullet weights. Closest to the 77 grain pill is a 69 grain. I am considering this model ( 3X30 Red Crosshair 69 gr-TA33) for a Colt 6920 flat top, 16" bbl. Some homework reveals that a slight adjustment can be made on the zero to get very close to the holdovers. I reached out to Trijicon for their opinion but I reckon they get thousands of emails a day presently so I wanted ask members if anyone has any personal testimony on this. As always, I appreciate any advice and direction.

If you're pushing 77's why are you limiting yourself to a 3X ACOG with a BDC of questionable compatiblity? For ACOG money you can get a nice low power variable with a far more usable reticle and a nice mount, it'll just come at the expense of some added weight.

I could be way off and have nothing to cite this with, but I think I remember reading way back that the 77s are pretty damn close ballistically to the 308 out to a certain distance, so maybe a 308 bdc acog would get ya closer?
