Hello guy's first off i would like to thank each and every one of you guy's for helping Folks like me learn along the custom rifle journey. I have been looking for a custom 7mm-08 rifle for a few weeks now.
I have come across a very nice rifle that is built off a remington 700 short action. The Seller states that the action has been blueprinted and Gun built by Longshot Rifles, inc.
And barrel is marked as such my only concern is after he sent me the photo's of the boltface it does not look like its been trued to me. Now i understand the bolt has been cerakoted but is that not why you face a bolt head and the lugs to sqaure them?
I am including a photo of the bolt face the rest of the rifle is great with Lilja barrel and Holland stock. Thanks guys

I am also up to speed on the issues of what happend to Longshot Rifles, inc. This rifle was built before all the mess that went on acording to the seller..Test targets shows GREAT groups...

If you are buying it for a decent price get it and move on. A trued bolt face doesn't mean much overall especially in the overall accuracy of the rifle. Bullets tell the truth. You said it shoots.

Chris Matthews did great work when he was building guns. I talked to him several time on the phone about a rifle he plumed up while at GAP the. Refered 11 people to him for builds when he opened his one place all rifle shot great and the work was stellar.
Not sure what happened with him and didn't see any work after things started to a slip but if it shoots good and its a deal jump on in.
