"Using an inch lb torque wrench, torque the front action screw to 25 inch lbs.
Then do the same for the rear screw.
10. Then go back to the front action screw and torque to the final spec of 65 inch lbs.
Then return to the rear and do the same."
I had googled it also but people really should be able to figure this shit out on their own.
Like legit just read the instructions it came with, or google it.
I honestly don't know how a person can't/won't spend a little bit of time trying to do some research for themselves before starting a thread. Like how does one even end up on SH without a mild understanding of how to use google?

45-100 lbs will work. Some guys go super tight, others not so much. As long as its the same and repeatable you will be fine.
Just to clarify… 45-100 INCH POUNDS… Not foot pounds. On a steel 700 and 700 clone action I typically do 65 in-lbs. in a solid aluminum bed block, or solid pillared stock/chassis. Wood or plastic with no block or pillars, don’t go over 45, or you’ll split it.

Most action bolts/screws are 1/4X28.

That means they are 1/4" in diameter and have 28 threads per inch.

The standard for metal to metal clamping force is 50-70 in/lbs with dry threads.

If there is any lubricant present on the threads, it is recommended to use the lower end of the scale.
