I posted a week ago about a mountain rifle build, I DO NOT want a detachable magazine. With that said the action I was ready to purchase is not recommended. I want a bottom hinged rifle to go with my proof 6.5prc barrel which I put on hold till I know what prefit thread I'll need. Would a long action be better for this application? I appreciate everyone's opinion. Thank jeff~

The only problem is July/August lead time on the anti. I was just in their shop 2 weeks ago handling one, they're nice. My concern is how much action rigidity was lost with the amount of material removed. Defiance makes great stuff, but the one I handled was their initial prototype, they haven't tested much yet.

I understand the lead time would be an issue if the rifle is to be used for a 2020 sheep hunt. I know the anTi is new and hasn't been put through the paces by the general public but I wanted a light weight action and couldn't get excited about an action made of titanium. When I saw the prototype of the anTi I had to take a chance and order one. I'm confident that the Defiance anTi will be thoroughly tested before release and any issues that arise will be taken care of by Defiance. If all goes well I'll be purchasing more because I have two other rifles I plan to build off anTi actions.
