An active shooter armed with tactical gear and a rifle opened fire upon Border Patrol agents as they arrived at a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley on Monday.

Agents and local police returned fire and killed the gunman. No federal agents were hit, but one McAllen police officer was struck. Law enforcement sources say the officer is in stable condition.

"This morning an individual opened fired at the entrance of the United States Border Patrol sector annex in McAllen, Texas. Both Border Patrol agents and local police helped neutralize the shooter," the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement to Fox News. "This is an ongoing investigation led by the FBI. More information will be shared as it becomes available."

Law enforcement believes the attack was a purposeful ambush targeting Border Patrol officials. Local police say they will hold a news conference on the attack later Monday.

Perp is dead. Good...hope it hurt.
One of my dudes said he was wearing body armor and a BORTAC supervisor Mozambiqued his ass.

Not hard to believe. BORTAC is some of the most spun up, hard core, hard training dudes I've seen.

Outstanding....thanks for the info, Terry.

And was it actually Mozambique? Couple of shots the body armor and then kill shot to the head? At least that's my totally ignorant knowledge of what that term means.

Cheers

Good question and I have no clue.

**and Yes. You have the correct term. Just don't know if that is literally what happened.

I'm guessing more like starting center mass and keep moving up until he's down. Those guys aren't your average cops when it comes to gunfights.
Good ole' Miami Vice style Mozambique would be cool but not likely. LOL.

Wonder if he is a fence jumper with a Michigan Drivers license that they issue to illegals for the asking. Or an American who is triggered.

BORTAC guys are definitely tier one. One of my cigar-smoking gun shooting buddies is ex BORTAC and USBP ret. Still learning to shoot precision rifle as it was not his thing. But shoots the balls off a gnat with an AR or a pistol.

He is now a Game warden in TN. The “Fish fuzz!”

I got to look for the article I saw this morning. It said multiple assailants in body armor.

Based on his picture he could weigh in as “multiple assailants..”. Someone never misses all
You can eat Burritos at Golden Corral!

I don't know the reason or the why, but I do know that people don't usually snap like that for no reason. He probably had a pretty good idea he wasn't coming back, so pretty sure he had a good reason.

Guess we will wait an see what that is........

Tier One guys......blah! A well placed .22 round on any guy, any day, any event, it is lights out. Because you can handle a weapon, move, run, have strong mental ability, it doesn't make you a Superman to bullets thrown your way. Throw enough bullets at anyone and they will become a tier 6ft under guy. John Wick is a fantasy!

Had a game warden friend called him a possum cop

Now is the time for Trump to demand a surge because we'd have to deport about 10,000 per day five days a week, just to reach ten million deported at the end of his 4 yr term.

I also don't understand why they haven't removed every single illegal from every facility, jail and prison in America- In January many of us assumed that would be the first thing they'd do.

But overall, I'm very pleased with Trump- best POTUS in my 50 yrs of life.

They ARE sending tons out.

Just hard to get our heads wrapped around the numbers.

There is an ICE staging and deportation facility about 2k yds across the airpark from the KMW shop. They were already busy but have recently ramped up even more. They are pretty much cycling 6 planes out of here every day.

The main contracting company ICE is using for pilots and planes around here: https://www.geogroup.com/facilities/alexandria-staging-facility/

No doubt the bottleneck is going to be logistics and resources for getting their asses back out of our country compared to the unrestricted waves allowed in through thousands of entry points.

The previous motherfuckers have done an excellent job of poisoning the water and shooting holes in the bottom of the boat just on sheer numbers of illegals. Don't forget how much they accelerated and encouraged the illegal migrations leading up to the election. Like a dog doubling down on hurriedly eating their own vomit before the owner can intervene.

I haven't heard a word about Trump's teams taking illegal inmates from places like L.A. county jails and Calif state prisons, and I thought they'd empty those first... Perhaps wishful thinking on my part.

Trump is deporting less than Biden and less than Obama (Obama holds the record). The Obama administration deported 3.1 million (with an m) illegals.

Somehow Trump is getting this reputation for deporting all of them when he is deporting less than Democrat presidents. Trump is a master at propaganda and shifting perception.

On the plus side all of that propaganda has illegals scared to cross the border. New illegals crossing into the US have dropped to the lowest levels in about 25 years. <-- But that is still too many.

Trump's ICE needs to get its ass in gear.

Numbers for 2025 since Trump took over rounded off:

Feb - 11,000

Mar - 12,000

Apr - 17,000

May - well, I would like to give that to you, but ICE stopped reporting monthly removal statistics.

I guess they figured folks would quit noticing how few they are removing that way and posting about it on the internet. This helps the perception that he is "deporting them all." LOL

Maybe the words in bold are a hurdle they are working on. Just a wild as guess but those pricks are fighting every way they can to sabotage any efforts at identifying and deporting.

I wonder what this will do to the housing market, eventually. The yoots like to blame the "boomers" for ruining the housing market, I guess for living too long and not selling them their house cheap. It couldn't have anything to do with 10 million unexpected guests could it?
Last I checked, we are about 3,000,000 housing units short on inventory in the USA. That includes rentals and ownership, that is, just places to live.

That's 3 million households, not 3 million persons, so many more than 3 million persons.

So ICE is going to need to be many multiples active over what it is now to make any difference whatsoever before Trump's term is over. I see no signs that it is going to be more active other then inviting the press along so that Americans have a view on the screen of the arrests. Seeing it on TV makes it more real, and Americans believe that ICE is more active, in spite of the reality being the opposite. The removal statistics tell the real story: Just like Trump's first term, removals are down.

What are the 'self deportation' numbers?

The 'removals' are concentrating on the shit for the time being. But between the lower entry numbers and the removal of benefits... and a hostile environment... and self-deportations... are the numbers dropping faster than we might perceive?

Also, what about the 'judgements' saying you can't deport? What effect has that had while folks are awaiting 'due process.'

Not arguing with your numbers... just wondering if there is more to the story.

Cheers,

Encourage them is right…remember pic of a mob of illegals coming across wearing “Thank You Joe Biden” or similar. Fucking leftists…sigh.

Ah, here ya go just to get your blood pressure up

I do sincerely hope your optimism is not misplaced. I just have a hard time sharing it. I hope this administration eventually proves me wrong.

I have talked to a lot of folks in the construction industry. As you are aware, their workforce has a very high concentration of illegal aliens. They are not remotely concerned about deportation. I questioned several intensely, but it simply is not a concern.

As for self deportation, the Trump administration is even offering small cash incentives. Real numbers of such self-deportees are hard to come by, however. A similar program in 2008 yielded only 8 persons (not 8 million or 8,000 or even 800, but just 8).

The lack of any numbers from the administration of persons registering and accepting $1000 and free travel tells me that the real number is either 0 or so few that it would embarrass the administration.

Trump friendly press such as the New York Post are breathlessly claiming 1 million plus self deportees, but if you read the article you will see for yourself that the basis for that claim is shaky, indeed (they cite some anonymous claim that 1 million foreign born workers have left the workforce, which may not even be measuring similar things). Also, this it literally based on a survey. Is it any surprise that after the Trump election illegal aliens might be reluctant to respond to a survey about their employment? My personal opinion is that this "evidence" is worthless for figuring out how many have self deported, but I understand these days that political discussions are typically devoid of evidence, and nobody questions what they are told if it lines up with what they hoped to hear.

It is not so "hard to get our heads wrapped around the numbers." They are public. I posted them above.

If by "tons," you mean less than Biden and way less than Obama . . . well, maybe you are actually talking tons, as in weight. It does not take that many illegals to make up a ton, 2,000 pounds.

When comparing numbers, are we comparing apples to oranges?
Deporting 2k you have detained at the border is different than deporting 2k that were in Des Moines, Twin Falls, Darien and Independence.
