Well, then, can the Trump administration at least top Obama's deportation numbers? Is that an impossible standard to meet?
obama counted migrants they turned away at the border, so not exactly the same...but we can hope.
What do you think would happen if there was a zero tolerance policy on employers hiring illegals? Mostly by enforcing the laws already on the books, I believe would force a major self deportation at very little cost to the taxpayer. They, including Trump, don’t want that to happen. What that would do to the economy is another matter.
Republicans would not put into place such a policy. This is an easy fix. There is a reason it has not happened.
Just like they could legislatively fix the asylum issue, but that is not going to happen.
You point out a major issue, though. The better the economy is, the more illegal immigration there is. It is simple economics.
Now the US has more foreign born population than any nation on earth.
