I'm 99% done with my latest build but I'm searching for an adjustable LOW PROFILE gas block for an .875 profile barrel. I'm not opposed to just getting a troy standard low profile block since I'm running a Troy 13.8" MRF but you know how it goes with a build. You want what you want.

I don't doubt that it'll run just fine but with a 300 SAUM suppressed, I'm thinking that having the ability to tune the gas could only help.

    Thanks

    Re: Adjustable Gas Block

PRI does their block in .875" but it is only available with set screws, not as a clamp on (not sure if that is a problem for you or not?)

The other two worth mentioning are JP and Noveske but it looks like they don't do the .875 diameter or low pro...so probably not of interest?

    Re: Adjustable Gas Block

Has to be very low pro to fit under the Troy MRF. I don't believe the PRI will cut the mustard with the big square piece that thir adjustment screw taps into and I'm fairly sure the jp and Noveske are either to big or wrong profile or both.

I did see the .875 one doesnt have quite the same look as the .750 but the "more info" portion says that it WILL NOT fit under most hand guards. After some measureing, I think it will fit under the Troy MRF by may take some very SLIGHT cosmetic mods to get it perfect. Might give it a whirl. If it doesn't look like she'll go, I'll probably just send her back.

From what I see, the PRI .875 does not have the square block sticking out of the side like the .750 version.

You're right on both the JP and the Noveske - they are probably not what you are looking for - unlsee you go for a shorter handguard?

It seems that choice on adjustable blocks gets very limited very quickly the more specifc your needs are.

Meaning...just for example.... there's plenty of choice in .750....but if you want clamp-on then the choice reduces, add to that adjustable...the choice narrows still further...add low profile and you get hardly any choice at all.

It only seems to get worse if you are looking at .875"

Based on the length of your handguard, i assume you're going for low profile to fit underneath the handguard.

I think you're in for a tough time finding something other than perhaps the PRI that will fulfil the requirement.

But at least the PRI you link to looks like you'd still be able to access the adjustment screw through the handguard....if it all lines up right.

    Good luck!
