Anyone can tell me how to adjust the front sight post on the front MBUS? I don't see a front detent like on a regular A2 front sight. I need to move my point of impact 2 inches up.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Adjusting Front MBUS?

There is a roll pin that holds the sight post in place. Remove the roll pin, make your adjustments and replace.

If the roll pin is not there it should turn freely and you will need one to prevent your elevation from inadvertently changing.

Re: Adjusting Front MBUS?

I don't think the roll pin is in there. Is it in the hole that is behind the Front sight post?

And what is the best way to turn it? I was using a round to try to turn it and it wasn't turning

It came with two pins, a shorter and longer one...

Re: Adjusting Front MBUS?

This is what the instructions say:

"To adjust elevation(up-down point of impact)use A2 Front Sight Adjustment Tool. Turn sight post knob in direction indicated to move POI up. Reverse direction to move down. Each 1/4 rotation rotation adjusts the POI ~ 1-7/8 in. at 100 meters. When position is found, insert spring pin to lock into place if desired."

If the Magpull logo is facing the muzzle, the spring pin hole will be on the butt stock end of the sight post. If you do not have an A2 Sight Tool, I'm sure any needle nose pliers will work as long as the spring pin is not in place, just being careful not to mar the metal surface. Use one of the spring pins supplied to hold it in place after adjustments are made.
