Rifle Scopes ADM mounts, all good on a bolt gun?

Ive got a AD-Recon on my RRA AR, and was thinking about replacing my budget rings on my bolt gun (REM700 varmint in .308)and like the idea of a QD mount when i eventually upgrade me optics. Question is, they're always marketed "for putting high power glass onto a flattop style AR-15".

I can't see anything specifically that would negate its use on a 'non AR' rifle. No issues with height as i have a karsten cheekpiece. Any issues with recoil and return to zero?

Most likely looking at the AD-RECON-S.

Use that one on a 338 lapua.
Works fine and dandy.
