Hello,
Now that I have a .338 rifle, I want to start reloading for it.
I don't have any equipment as of yet. I was leaning towards the RCBS gear.

Will this be a good choice?
Also, what about the dies for the .338. Anything particular to
look for? Do I need set that has two dies or three? Does it need to be for "precision" loads? etc.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.
Thanks.
Mark

RCBS rockchucker works fine.
I personally like the Redding type s full length die set. It comes with resizing/decapping die and competition seater.
You will also have to buy die bushings if you decide to use them- I use the .360 and .361 but I turn all my necks. You can find a bushing chart on Reddings site to order ther correct bushings. I mostly just shoot for load development or practice and hunting but I always try for the best precision not matter what I'm loading for. Just seems like the thing to do and you learn more

If it was me, I would buy a Redding Competition 3 die set (neck, body and seater).

It is not that better dies allow one to build better ammo than lesser dies. But that they make it easier to make better ammo. As always its more of the indian than the arrow.

I'm waiting on my 338LM build but I bought the Redding Type S Neck, Redding body die, and Forster Micro Seater. I will be using a rockchucker as well.

If you use Lapua brass most use the .365 bushing.

This is exactly what I'm using, but on a Dillon 550b.
