Its not difficult at all, you can have a new barrel in a week. Call Mile Hile Shooting Supply.

Anyone that can spin a barrel should be able to make one for an AI.
GAP can do them for you. So can SAS.

Never ordered a barrel, but MHS is a local shop for me and they are second to none in CS. Probably the nicest and most helpful staff of any firearms shop I have ever been in.

I have to throw a vote in for Mile High also, they have exceded my expectations as well. Good company, Adam who is there gunsmith has bent over backwards to help me resolve a minor issue...good people!
