Rifle Scopes AE MK II scope rings?

Re: AE MK II scope rings?

Nightforce either 3.5-15 x 50 or 5.5-22 x 50 any suggestions on what specific AI mount to get? I know the NF tube is 30mm, but I noticed they have different MOA built in...

Re: AE MK II scope rings?

Am I wrong in that it looks like the 28 MOA model is only for the dovetail and the 18 MOA only works for the picatinny rail? I Have a picatinny rail so it looks like the 18 MOA in the 30mm is my only choice?

Yes Sir you are correct.... Is your scope a 30mm or 34mm? I think if you get the 34mm you get free reducing rings to fit a 30mm.

Re: AE MK II scope rings?

The AI mounts are very sturdy and work well. However, there are a couple of things you should be aware of before coughing up for them. Firstly, the metal has a blueish tint to it, or at least mine does. It is not the same finish as the barrel or other parts of the rifle. I don't mind that myself but some might. Second, I have the NF 5.5-22x50 and you can see how high the scope sits...2.25". I think that is high but I'm no expert. I'm not sure why they made them so high but again it doesn't bother me. If Spuhr come out with a mount viable for the AE Mk II I would probably be tempted to get it given the reviews for the current model but until then I'm happy with AI. BTW, first time i shot with the new Atlas with AI spigot. Very nice but will take some getting used to.

Re: AE MK II scope rings?

The AI mount will place a NF scope quite high off the base. If you want a solid cheek weld without having to adjust the cheek piece, NF lows or Badger mediums work well for the 50mm NF, which has enough elevation adjustment that you won't need an angled base and the objective will not touch the barrel.

yes 18 MOA and i don't need to raise the cheek piece to compensate for the high mount, it fits me well. the scope is super if you are thinking of which to get.

We've got the majority of the mounts in stock right now, including the 30mm picatinny 18MOA mount. It's simple, effective, and very competitively priced in comparison to other quality rings on the market. PM for the discount code to save a few dollars.

With the 18MOA rings/base and the 44mm scope I also do not have to raise my cheek piece either... It is just perfect.
