The buffer spring retaining pin tip broke off. Tried to remove it but it will not budge. Any ideas on how to remove it. Thanks

You have to back out the buffer tube to remove the buffer retainer. Unless your talking about something else. Post a picture.

As Fisher mentioned, it will be helpful if you let us know what you have already tried, i.e. did you back out the buffer tube yet? That is what holds in the retaining pin. Backing it out a few threads should release it. If not, post a pic or two so we can see what's going on.

When you back out the buffer tube put your thumb on the buffer retaining pin or that thing will shoot out and then your looking for the spring and retaining pin

The lower has been completely disassembled. The retainer pin is stuck in the hole. It has no up/ down play whatsoever.

Hose it down with acetone, dry it, JB weld a piece of welding rod or drill bit to it and pull it out. If that doesn't work, 16 hits with the largest ball peen hammer you can find.

Try soaking it in some KROIL and get it to free itself up so it has some play.

Yep, see if you can wiggle it back and forth with a dental pick......

Thanks for all the tips. I tried most of you're suggestions.....except the ball peen hammer method! I sent Aero Precision a couple pics and they said they would repair it or send me a new lower. Great customer service.
