I have thought about my build dilemma. I have been.studying on doin a .408 or .416. But the more I think about ammo components and the overall build price, I believe im.gonna take my 700p .338 lapua and build it. I already have.the optics so thats a start. I wanna do a trigger, barrel, and stock or chassis system. Im thinkin the jewell trigger. A manners or mcmillan stock that is adjustable. or an AI chassis system. But im not sure on what barrel and what other mods to do at this time. I would like to do a heavy barrel for sure that is fluted and alse has a brake and.threaded for a can. I already have a tac-ops bolt knob but I would like to flute the bolt if possible. I think this will serve me well as the .338 will pull any distance I.can.shoot around here. I may also steup up to the 300gr bullets. My 250 and 285 grain bullets shoot.great. Any opinions on modifications?

Deffinately gonna look into GAP and the AI setups. The barrel is where im held up for the most part...

GAP will give you solid recommendations on a barrel. When I get my MLR rebarreled, I'll simply go with what they suggest.

The Norma only handles the heavies better if running a dbm with shorter length. I am running a Seekins DBM on my Lapua and highly doubt the Norma would gain anything over me running the 300 smk at 3.80 oal.

Picked my new scope,rings, and base today. Narrowed it down to 2 stocks. Now I just need a barrel. Somethin thats heavy. Dont wanna go way oversize buy somethin that will match up to the factory 700 action and look good.
