AI/AT compatibility with AX short action

Are mags interchangeable between these two? Barrels? Easy question I think. Thanks for your patience.
Reason, just got an AI/AT recently and I'm smitten. The AX model is very attractive. No good excuse to go long action300WM/338Lapua , but never seem to need an excuse to get another 308.

The magazine in the AT and AX308 are the same. The barrels are interchangeable also. Ray

The magazines are different. The AX magazine has a front lip on it. Fits into a notch and helps lock it more securely into the rifle. That said, everybody uses AW/AT mags in the AX without issue, but due to the lip the AX mag will not fit in the AW/AT. Some people just file it off.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Works one way but not the other. More than one person has made that mistake in the past though.
