AI AWM .338

I want one, but I've read varying different figures for what the twist rate is, and whether you can shoot 300gr bullets out of it.

Soooo... What's the twist rate, and can you, and can you mag feed them (hand loads) with the shorter-than-CIP magazine??

I spent the better part of an hour on the phone with those folks prior to pulling the trigger on my AI AW .308. No pressure from their end, just answers.

I have seen reports of the pre CIP AW's in 1-11 and 1-10. Hard to say what yours is.

The earlier model of AWs had a 1:11 twist. My 09 was. Dont know if they make faster twist rate in the AW. My current AX has a 1:9.3 twist rate.
