Really I Have two questions looking for help on. Picked up my first chassis to give it a try - an AI Mk 13 chassis. Just holding up a Remington OEM recoil lug where it will eventually sit it is very evident that there is a lot of clearance between the bottom of the lug and the 'floor' of the chassis (where it could conceivably sit if it was longer). Assuming that's normal, but its more clearance than I was perhaps expecting. That, and the floor of the chassis is machined as though the lug would sit on it. There is a specific inlet that matches to the thickness of a Remington lug.

If I go the route of a Mk13 Mod 7 clone, does anyone on here happen to know the recoil lug used? I've looked and looked and haven't picked up on it in any threads anywhere. And should said lug be abutting against both the magwell wall and the floor of the chassis, or is it meant not to touch the floor?

its a parallel (m700 style) .25" pinned unit. You can buy them from PTG.

it doesn't need to touch anywhere but the mating face.
