AI Mags - Need Help!!!

I got my mag in yesterday, it fits like a dream. As others have said it does look and feel like better quality over other mags...

I need to know how yall that have cut out that spacer plate in the front of the mag have done it... or if you poped it out.... etc.. I need the extra room in the mag.... I wanted to hear the best ways your all have taken it out before I got on it with a drimel or something....

I havent looked at the mag real close but does it come apart like other mags do?

Drill out the spot welds with the smallest bit possible then tig or mig the holes shut, and grind the welds smooth. Tip...make a brass block or something similar made of a non-ferrous metal and clamp it flat on the inside the mag, up against the holes when welding. This way you have a smooth finish on the inside of the mags, without having to grind inside the mag body.

Is this done for a larger grain bullet, dose it weaken the mag? Will this help on a feed issue my mags seem to scratch the brass.

Lightly polishing with 1000+ grit sandpaper on the inside of the feed lips will help the scratching issue.
