AI or Atlas bipod for AICS

Not sure which route I want to go. From what I hear the Atlas is teh shit. I would use the Atlas Accuracy International Spigot with the Atlas bipod: http://www.site-secure.biz/accushot/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=75

I'd like to get some more pictures of the AI folded up. I'm leaning to the Atlas because it just looks so much more compact. If anyone had info on either of these bipods I'd appreciate it.

I dont know much about the Atlas at present, what are its advantages over a well proven Harris?

Have both--never use my AI bipod on my AI because it is too floppy.

Atlas is my fav. FWIW I like the AI better than the harris, and the Atlas better than the AI. Stacey said AI is working on a new bipod as well. Anyway I run the the Atlas with AI spigot and couldn't be happier, all my other bipods are in a box.

if you chose the aics bipod I have one available with pod claws I would be willing to part with well below new price. I don't have much experience with either sold my aics before I got to use it much.

ATLAS witha twist

Would add to the fun...

Would get the AI Spigot from Kasey and the Pic rail kit. Then use the ARMS version to have flexibility across platforms.

I'll be the oddball and say that I like the AI better. It's the only bipod I've ever picked up and thought I could use it to beat someone to death with it.

I have both and hands down I like the Atlas by a long shot (pun intended).

I find that the Atlas is better at the following:

1) It is easier to load the Atlas bi-pod over the AI bi-pod. The AI Bi-pod has skis for feet & tends to slide

2) Atlas bi-pod can be setup to shoot the rifle much closer to the ground. Depending on the terrain, there are times that the AI bi-pod does not get low enough for me.

3) Atlas has far less wobble/play in it

Pro’s for the AI bi-pod
1) It’s rugged and very simple to adjust. I am not saying that the Atlas is less rugged, I am just saying that the AI bi-pod is built like the rifles… it’s built like a tank.


Since I purchased an Atlas bi-pod, I have not since found a reason to put on AI bi-pod. Without question, I find the Atlas bi-pod superior and well worth the money!

I'm pulling the trigger on the Atlas. What got me was how low profile it was. Which way are you guys folding your bipod up? There's a pic with it folded back on Accushot's site. Looks like it would be more compact but might interfere with shooting off hand.

You can fold it in either direction. One of its many advantages.

Wow the Atlas bipod wins hands down from the looks of this thread
