AI thumb rest?

Like this?

All I use is the thumb rest. Zero issues with folding

Edit: mine folds left

Here's a link to the original thread for the thumb rest that Sam made himself, the Anarchy Outdoor's is the same design and he says that the stock will still fold all the way and not contact the rest in any way but will not lock closed because the mount itself utilizes the button for mounting.

Correct, the stock on an AX (folds over the bolt knob) will still fold all the way, but with the design of AI's locking catch it was difficult to try to integrate that and still have an ergonomic place for your thumb to go.

On an AT this isn't an issue, as the stock folds to the non-bolt side and retains the locking catch.

If you have a legit need for the lockup on an AX buttstock when folded, it would be best to forego the thumb rest. Another option would be to strap it down with a small loop of velcro or something like that.

Any more questions just let me know!

I use the thumb rest on my AICS AX chassis and my AI AXSA. Super easy to install and I like them. The hinges on the folders are stiff enough that it’s not going to swing open randomly, even without the deal to keep it secure.
