Go with the Bartlien...I am waiting on the AX338 with it as we speak..I won't say which one will last longer but I can be fairly confident in the accuracy of the Bartlien over the others.

Bartlien! </div></div>Uh... the AIAWSM is not a proven system? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the standing record for longest confirmed kill in battle is 2475m... on a L115A2 (with a UK barrel.) I would call that proven.
Seriously Chris, not in .338, but I own both UK and Bartlein barrels for my AIAX (and formerly AIAW) and you cannot go wrong with either.
EDIT- I wanted to add that the current barrel on my AIAX short action is a GAP Bartlein barrel, in .243, and it shoots awesome. But I also want to add that my 18.5 inch .308 barrel, a holdover from my AIAW, is a UK barrel that is still shooting lights out after 4000 rounds. I recently did an accuracy test, shooting 10 consecutive 5 round groups at 100 yards, and the AVERAGE was in the .4's. This was with me shooting the rifle, off a bipod and rear bag. So, 4000 round .308 barrel averaging sub .5 moa, I'm sold.

5000 on an A-brand .308 barrel is more the rule than the exception. My TRG shot .3" into the 6000 when I sold it.

Don't the AI's use Border barrels ,basically a Scottish version of an Obermeyer.

Both are excellent and I have shot both but not in .338, given the option I would go Bartlein with out hesitation. Their quality control is excellent, US company and you can reach them by phone or as you can see they monitor posting on SH to address customer’s questions. Thats great customer service
