AIAE MK2 vs MK3?

The main differences are.

- The trigger assembly is easily removed as mentioned above on the MKIII
- The bolt uses the 3-position safety on the MKIII just like the AW/AT/AX rifles
- The skins are also a little different but not hugely so. The MKIII skins allow you to remove just the section around where the trigger is for easy trigger removal

In order to get the links that point to the old .info site to work just change it slightly...

The changes from the MKI to the MKII were much more substantial with the most notable being the change to the AICS magazine in the MKII.

ETA: Honestly right now with the prices that the MKIII's are selling for I would watch for a used AW. It will cost you $400-$500 more but the AW is a very nice rifle and the double feed magazines are awesome! Either way make sure you get the folder.

Thats an excellent point. The AW is a much better value. I already have one, but fully accessorized guns have been selling here for so little, I consider adding more to the collection.

To me it would be worth the extra cost just for the fact that you don't have to take the AW action out of the chassis to change barrels like you do on the AE.

Thanks for the info and feedback. Getting back into this after some time away.

I have owned the AWM, AW and AE MK 2. Just picked up a lightly used MK3 with AINA 6.5 barrel and a considerable amout of accessories and upgrades included.

I considered just getting the AT but once I factor in the cost of accessories and more importantly the 6.5 barrel I would need to run a Barska scope for the next year as that would be what I could afford.

Well my stock arrived last night , waiting on barreled action to clear Jerry Brown's dum waiting period.

Having previously had the AW and AE MK2 the new stock feels improved. Much less boxy feeling and thinner. Grip area around thumbhole also feels like they tweaked it a little to make it a bit fatter.

All in all time will tell but I dont hate the feel of the MK3 but its still not an A5 either.

Side bar I also ordered a set of Viperskins and threw them on to try. They are nice but for now sticking with the factory thumbhole.
