I purchased an original 2.0 for a 6.5 creedmoor Short Action Customs build, and the seller had packaged it with an Atlas Bipod with a Spigot mount. The side to side movement of the rifle from play in the spigot mount just isn't to my liking. I see tons of photos of AICS with Harris bipods mounted underneath them, not on a spigot. However, I have searched here, and google, and cannot come up with a single thing of how they are doing it. Not sure why I can't find this, really thought it would be simple to find. Love the look of this atlas on a spigot, but it looks like I'm going to have to get rid of it and go to a Harris to be happy with the feel of my rifle.
thanks,
B

I'm not seeing the nut you are speaking of? Those rail sections are for the AX style that has an AR type barrel cover. I have one of those on a .300 wm. But can't put that type onto this.

The Atlas spigot has a nut to snug it tight, don't know which spigot you have. The AICS came with a Harris swivel mount that stuck out of the chassis through a slot behind the spigot catch button. To install/remove this you have to remove the skins and drive a roll pin in/out. Your chassis must be missing the Harris mount?
call Mile High or Europtic and see if they will sell you the mount and roll pin if you want the Harris.

Thanks, just shot my guy at mile high an email. mine doesn't have anything there.

Hope it's not a knock off, the B&T spigot has a knurled thumb but to tighten up the spigot so it's tight. It's absent in your picture. You could email B&T as well, they're excellent folks

image_47919.jpg I don't believe the original B&T spigot adapters had the nut. Â*I believe Orkan and the designer came up with that later.

I don't like the adapter as even with the but it still wobbles a bit so I got a picatinny adapter from a member here for my AT and LOVE it!
