For those that have an AICS stock can you give me some pros/cons of the 2.0 vs. the 1.5 version other than the obvious 2.0 folding stock?

Thinking about trying one and trying to decide if the $250+ for the 2.0 is worth it.

Thanks

Thats all I can tell from pics. I cant handle one locally so hence the question. Ultimately Im trying to decide if the extra cash for the folding ability is worth it. Do those that have the 1.5 now wish the had gotten the 2.0?

Re: AICS 2.0 vs 1.5

I don't own an AICS, but I certainly do wish all my stocks were folders. I've considered switching to AICS for that simply reason.

There are quite a few benefits to a folder:
-stores/transports in a more compact space
-doesn't require removal of cheek to remove bolt (some stocks do, some don't)
-doesn't require removal of cheek to clean

One of the biggest pro's on the 2.0 for me is the ease of getting a cleaning rod in straight without have to remove the cheek piece and getting the bore guide in place and removing the bolt. Also folding it will allow use of a smaller case making it easier to transport if trunk space is a issue.

Pardon my ignorance on this issue but I also keeping seeing posts for AICS skins? IS this just the plastic side parts that can be exchanged for different colors? Can't seem to find online retailers that sell "skins".
