I saw the kit somewhere online for like $320! As soon as I saw that, I clicked the small "X" in the top right hand corner lol

You take any one of the 3 rails off the shroud, and attach it to the "butt" area of the AX stock.

I was wondering if an Accu-Shot monopod would work, but I don't think you would end up with much adjustment. These stocks are taller in the hook than the normal AICS. But if it does look like it would work please post some pics.

We make three size of rail mount monopods so I'd like to think one should work.

The Rail Monopod will work. Only down side is, you will be wasting 2.5" due to the way the end of the stock is made, and where the rail is positioned. I would love to get a monopod, but I would hate to get the biggest one which is 5.65" folded. IMO I think it wouldnt look to good on an AX..

My AX chassis should be here tomorrow. I've got a coupe different monopods I'll play with, but I agree, I feel they will be too short. $320 for a buttspike kit is a little rough to swallow. I bet we can come up with something.

We need someone to open the hatch on where the Butt Spike will go and take some pictures. I couldnt get my Roll Pins out..

Any more updates on the butt spike? I have to say after shooting my for a bit and am dissapointed with the rear of the unit. If I use a low bipod on the front then using a squeeze bag on the rear is a bit low, to use a rabbit ear rear bag requires a fairly tall bipod and then positioning becomes more uncomfortable. I rear butt spike that fits in the precut hole would be great, epecially if it had a sled like cap that the current plug is shaped...
Anyone seen one online or know of someone manufacturing them?

Can you recall where that was? I can't find anything online. I'm not saying I'm going to pony up $300+ for it but I would like to see how its made.

"The newly re-designed rear spike/monopod featuring both fine and coarse elevation adjustments is also available as an optional upgrade."
I can't even find it on the AI site though. Being that I have the AX, I'd like to know what my options are for a monopod and I don't really like the idea of adding the rail section for a rail attached monopod.
