Does anyone know the best way to put a flush cup on the forend of an AICS chassis? I did a search on here and with google and the only thing that I could find was the Viper Skins flush cups that you can mount at the rear of the the stock. I emailed VC-USA and asked if the front/side rail that they offered for the Viper skins would fit the standard AICS chassis and they did not know. Are the plastic stocksides of the AICS stiff/strong enough to allow me to bolt on a rail that has a buit in flush cup?

I wouldn't trust any sling attachment that wasn't firmly attached to the chassis. I see the skins as thin plastic, but not strong attachment points. I don't know how much weight you can load on one of the Viperskins forward rails, but I'd bet they're meant for light weight optics. You might e-mail Victor Company and ask, or perhaps they've got the answer on their website already.

I love the AI sling with hooks anyway!!

If you're just using the skin to hold the flushcups, I'd say no... the skins are pretty thin and flimsy. Why not get HK hooks and just run off the hook areas?

If you run a BigDogSteel or Atlas spigot you can attach one to the rail in the front. As to those who say the rails that mount to the skins aren't robust enough for a sling mount, you are speculating without experience. I've run the Victor Company QD solutions, including the skin mounted rail, with ZERO issues or any hint thereof. They are more than up to the task.

Our rails mount directly to the ViperSkins and they are INCREDIBLY STRONG. The rails do not move at all and can be used for PEQ mounting. (our SEAL teams are doing this with our skins). Mounting the QD sling attachment is simply and VERY VERY SECURE. I've never had any of my customers break one off or even come loose.

Right now we have a bunch of skins with different SEAL teams in the field beating the crap out of our ViperSkins. The only feedback we've gotten yet was there have been no issues with our skins except the fact they do not have action screw holes. (their armorers ended up drilling them).

Try out our skins and if you don't like them, send em back.

Best,

Michael Victor

Thanks Victor,

I never doubted the quality and craftsmanship of your products and I have heard nothing but great things about your company and customer service. I was just trying to see if the stock AICS skins were strong enough to hold the rail/sling attachment that you sell. When I get home around mid June, I will be placing an order for your rail/sling mount. Thank you very much for your help and I appreciate all of the vendors and companies that are on here and are willing to work one on one with their customers.

The sling mount in the rear will mount up fine with the regular skins, I do not believe the rail will mount to the front of the skins, as that is a ViperSkins feature. However, if you use any kind of spigot mount bipod you can probably just as easily attach a QD mount to the rail systems offered by Atlas and BigDogSteel.

Hi Graham- No worries, didn't think you had doubted our products. I was simply letting people know that we haven't had any problems with mounting our rails directly into our skins. Now the OEM AI skins might be a different story. I know you had asked me about that and sorry I can't be more help in whether they will work with the AI skins.

Please be careful out there and come back safe!

MV: Sounds great, Brother, and thanks for the support. We are down to the last month here and I am so ready to get home to my new custom (and wife of course, haha).
