AICS Forend/Spigot Extension?

Hey all,

I recently received a new AICS and see that it came with an extension on the forend. Does AI now offer mounts/rails that mate to this, being threaded and all?

I've seen the KAC and Badger IMUNS units that interface with the AICS, but for it to come from AI with this extension already in place made me think that perhaps they're offering their own add-on kits.

You can call AINA and see if they have any available (good luck). I picked one earlier in the year and paid dearly for it but it doesn't mean you can't get one.

They are supposed to be making an updated version of the one I got but I've yet to see one.

If you can't find one from AI there are a coupe good offerings. Badger is a nice option and there are a couple others floating around but require removing the AI block which isnt a big deal. The KAC mount is nice but deathly expensive (typical KAC).

that looks great - i want one! could this thing be mounted in reverse? my NF scope with sun shade extends too far out, i guess i could remove it but...

Yep, it can be switched to the opposite side. My Leupold cap would just touch the edge of the mount when flipping open & closing as it was.
