I have been hearing rumors about AICS "short Blocks" I assume this is the bones the Viper skins will go on for sale. AS I would prefer to get the base chasis and get tieh viper skins I am looking for any sources to get the base. Any suggestions on this line for a REM 700 short action???

I would assume that the "short blocks" are just the chassis with none of the accessories such as the skins.

OK If short blocks means that you will be able to buy an AICS without the stock sides then that is a NO. The only way to do that is to buy an AICS and remove the stock sides.
The AICS will soon come out with new stock sides and you will be able to purchase replacement AI pistol grip stock sides in Green, Black or Dark Earth. That will be after the end of March 2012.
Regarding the extended bipod spigot we are going to return to the standard spigot and an extended spigot for a night vision bracket will be available as an aftermarket accessory. Not sure of timescale but in next few months.
All of the above is related to the legacy AICS and not AX AICS.

Since you are answering questions anything on possible ten round CIP magazines for the 338 lapua for the AICS. I forgot to ask when I was at your booth at the Shot Show. Sorry not trying to jack the thread guys.

We have no plans for a 10 round .338 CIP for AICS. We do have plenty of .338 CIP AICS in stock with 5 round magazines for anyone who wants them.
