I bought AICS 2.0 with Remington 700 SPS 308. The bolt knob has been changed to large tactical style. The problem is with every shot the bolt drives into my trigger finger's second knuckle. I don't flinch yet, but any more rounds of knuckle bashing and I will develop something!! Has any one delt with this problem? My solution is to machine bolt knob down to clear knuckle. I don't want to hurt value of gun. Bob

Get a smaller knob.
Unscrew the old and replace with the new.
If forget who, but somebody on here is making a shorty tactical knob that should do the trick for you.
I'm sure somebody will know. I'm thinking AZ precision.

Grind it, bolt knobs are cheap, value of gun should not be an issue.

Good advise given, cut it, grind it, or replace it. I suspect it's the width of the bolt knob not it's length that's biting you.
But one more thought: Is your knuckle contacting the bolt knob before your fire? If it's not, and as the rifle moves under recoil, your hand with knuckle attached, should move along with it. So there should be no contact. If your hand is not moving with the rifle, and the rifle is, ouch your have contact.
It may just be a problem with your hand placement, grip or shooting style, and maybe the stock style; or maybe not. Just thinking outside the box here.
