AICS Stock / 700 REM DBM Will It Work?

Ok I am seriously considering a AI chassis system for my newly acquired 700. While researching I was reading that the 700 LTR SPS Tac with the REM DBM may need a kit or wont work with the AI system becasue the feed ramps are located on the Rem DBM system and not the barrel itself, which don't make much sense to me. If so I would think my local gunsmith can mill that out and then polish and port it. Can any of you shed any light on this for me? Yes this is a like 2004 or so model of 700 but I ran across a hell of a deal.

?

the Accuracy International Chassis System incorporates it's own Detachable Bottom Magazine system in it. You don't add a DBM kit to an AICS stock.

Buy the AICS stock. Buy some Alpha Type 2 mags. Drop action into stock, load mags and away to the range you go!

LOL let me clarify the post. I read stated this from,

www.remingtonOwners.com
This set-up has everything I was looking for. The chassis is self bedding and has a detachable box magazine built in, so theres no need for a DBM conversion kit. This only works with 700s that DO NOT already come with a detachable box mag. Models that come from the factory with a DBM will have the feed ramps built into the magazine and not the barrel. These models will likely need a kit for use with the AICS.

SO
This does not make sense to me, and thats what threw me off sorry, to the forward leaning rest position I go for not copy and pasting the section of the article. And yes I am aware that the kit I buy will come with the AI mags specific for that chassis and not the crappy stock Remmy DBMS.

Today I got the rifle in my hands and I dont know what the person who posted this on the forum is talking about. My gunsmith is working it over now and should have it back in a week or so.
