I recently bought a used LA 2.0 AI chassis from the Exchange here on the hide and ordered a new set of stocksides from SRT. Today I was dropping my rifle in the new chassis and attempted to install the stocksides when I discovered that they don't fit; almost but not quite. I need to trim about 1/4" of plastic from both left and right pieces, just in front of the magwell.

Is this normal? I was thinking of breaking out the jigsaw and carefully trimming the stocksides to fit. Anyone have a better method?

I just pulled the packing list out of the box. I had ordered AICS 2.0 LA skins, what is listed on the packing list is...

ACC INT STOCKSIDE AWM FDE LEFT FRONT
ACC INT STOCKSIDE AWM FDE RIGHT FRONT
ACC INT STOCKSIDE AICS LEFT BACK
ACC INT STOCKSIDE AICS RIGHT BACK

Looks like its mixed AWM/AICS. So either SRT screwed up or they expect the AWM Fronts to be easily adaptable to the AICS.

Petey, you are absolutely correct. I had not gotten that far in the fit analysis, but it does not fit the bolt handle cut out at all.

These have to go back. Thanks for the info.

    Re: AICS stockside fit

I got the black set I have from SRT supply for my short action AICS folder, these are in addition to the green set the stock came with. The sticker says 2480/2481 Stockside AW/AE Front Black LH/RH for the front pair, 3861/3862 Stockside Rear Black 2 Screw CP LH/RH for the rear.
Had to make a small cut for the magwell and the square cut out for the bolt. With these simple mods they fit perfectly.
