Rifle Scopes Aim point micro T1 or Trijicon rmr

Thinking about second optic for my Lwrc Repr. I purchased a Spuhr mount for my NF beast, of course still waiting for the NF to come but those of you that have a back up, which one would you prefer to attach to the Spuhr?
If you all have any pics please post. If you all think this is a dumb idea I can take constructive criticism too.

I do not know much about the Trijicon. The Aimpoint has a lot I like about it, especially the five year battery life. I think if you get a Picatinny rail attachment for the SPUHR it might give you more mounting options than the Aimpoint attachment. The Aimpoint attachment will only mount to the lower right quadrant.

For your situation I prefer a 4moa dot. EuroOptic gave me a great deal on mine. Aimpoint Micro T1 Red Dot Sights

I have a T1 attached to 2 o'clock on a Spuhr Pic mount so it can act as a short range optic. Even though the T1 is small it still feels big for this role.

I tried putting an old RMR on the mount but could not get it to zero because adjustments were limited. I'd MUCH prefer having the profile (and weight) of the RMR.

As it stands now I am about to take the T1 off the scope and shoot it old school canted when necessary because of I dislike the bulk added by the T1.

I was on the Spuhr web sight and saw all the different attachments to use to mount various pieces of equipment. Don't know what spacer plate I wot need for Rmr. I like the Aimpoint but was wondering if it would obstruct the view do to it being a larger piece?

If you go the RMR route, make sure it's an adjustable led version. I tried using the dual powered one and found when shooting from a dark position into a brightly lit target area, the reticle would wash out. I would go with an Aimpoint if we're casting votes.

Aimpoint micro gets my vote, I have used both and for a rifle the aimpoint just feels better, for a pistol I'd use the rmr.

it's hard to go wrong either way, but I think you would appreciate how compact the trijicon rmr is, the micro is a little on the large side for a secondary optic.

This is true, I find the micro is alittle easier to acquire the red dot than an RMR but that is due to the size. He is right for a backup you may not be as concerned about that. Smaller size may be the better trade off than easier sight picture since it's not a primary.
