So Im looking to pick up a AIMPoint Comp ML3 and found a ML3 with LaRue mount for $565 NEW. I have a few options and I'm not too sure whats better or what does what really this being my first red dot.

1. Should I go 4MOA or 2 MOA dot?? This is purely CQB optics I dont care about groups just let me get on target faster and more more efficient when it counts.

2. Should I go the LT 150 mount/RAS II 152/Cantilever 129 ($30 more for 129 mount)

3. For the mount should I get the Lever Mount or go with the VFZ?? I understand the Lever mount but I havnt been able to find any videos or info explaining how the VFZ works and what makes it better that the lever action exactly besides obviously no lever. Or seen any one talk about it being good or bad. (If I go for the LT150)

This is going to be topping off a BCM 16" M4 Carbine upper sitting on a Mega Ar15 Lower with DPMS LPK. Standard M4 style stock/hand guard for now. All for CQB run and gun drills and just pure desert fun with some friends.

Wasnt sure which this would fall better under Scope section or Semi Auto section. Figured this was more to semi shooters and anyone so I put it here.

If this is purely a CQB site...and you opt for a 4MOA dot vs. the 2MOA dot...why not consider the H1/T1 Micro?

You may find that you care more and more later about tighter groups, but for a reflex sight that is primarily close-in...I think 2-4 MOA is negligible personally (this is a "sniper" website so I'm sure their will be those who disagree chiming in shortly). Never the less....IMO you should never negate group size for speed.

Re: AIMPoint/LaRue Q's

Well the thing is people tend to take it to the extreme of ohh well 2 MOA will get you 1" groups easier at 100 yards.. or you wont be able to see at 300+ yards ext. So I'm just stating I'd rather opt for speed and hit the man in the body if need be than put 3 shots in them inside a 1" circle.. A hit is a hit to me..

And I dont know I'm not a fan of the Micro I havnt come around to the look of tiny little thing on my AR. I kind of like the look and very much the price of the ML3's. I feel the Micros are a bit of a fad right now

**NOTE: I am not planning on Columbine anyone or anything this is referring to Home Defense scenario if the time ever comes and for training purposes only**
