Aimpoint's policy is that the PROs are only to be sold to law enforcement, military, and government employees. Any vendor selling to the general public would be in violation of their agreement with Aimpoint.

why do you want the aimpoint patrol pro? for the most part it looks pretty much the same as the comp m4 except the m4 uses a AA battery

probably because the PRO is much cheaper than the M4

AZ Armament is a huge dealer in the PRO and they make it known on arfcom. They've stocked up and sold out several times from what I can remember. I'm sure if Aimpoint had a problem they would have ceased the sales already. AZ sells them to anyone without incident. They also post a coupon code for them. It knocks the price down to well under $400 shipped.
The mount is ok but nothing special. It was made to come out of the box and straight to the rifle. I'm going to replace my PRO mount with something else.

jakhmr81, no one is violating any agreement with Aimpoint.
Since SHOT Show 2012, Aimpoint allows sales of the PRO to the general public, and everyone and their dogs are after one.

GT Distributors carrys them for $400. I was there today and they advised they are selling them as fast as they get them in.
