Anyone know where to find good 1" rings for an air gun? Specifically a RWS 34. They should just put a picatinny rail or weaver rail on them instead of that goofy tiny rail.

The RWS 34 has an 11mm dovetail. I purchased a set of these for my Weihrauch HW90 gas ram http://www.tier-one.eu/dovetail-rings.html Tier_One-Dovetail-1.jpg

Not sure if you're willing to spend that much but, if so, the Tier One rings are very nicely made, I'd put the machining and finish on-par with the nicer US made pic rings (Seekins, et. al.) They aren't made with a recoil lug, no doubt for compatibility with rimfire dovetails, so I drilled and tapped the bottom of the rear ring for a 6-32 scope base screw which serves the purpose quite nicely on the HW90. 30mm and 34mm are the only options so you'd have to use a set of inserts if you have to have 1".
The Tier One rings were the only high-quality ring option I could find for an 11mm dovetail mounting.

Sportsmatch is the go to brand for air rifles. The RWS 34 is a springer and needs to have a pin in place to stop the rings moving forward due to the spring stopping at the end of the cylinder - Sportsmatch has those by default. Consider buying 30mm as well as one inch because you never know what you might want to try in the future.

Been using Sportsmatch for about 26 years now. First set started on an air rifle and I have used it on various .22 rifles. Each ring-mount in my original set is two screw, i.e. two screws each side of the scope (also two screws clamping to receiver). They are easier to set up than most single screw ring-mounts. They are so well machined that, if your rifle takes the basic 9.5 to-11 mm ring-mounts and the tube diameter /height combination that you require is available in single-screw and twin-screw versions, you can mix and match to get your scope correctly positioned and well secured to your rifle. That is not a feat that I would attempt with some of the other products on the market. YES, a friend and I jointly own a 25,4 mm and a 30 mm lapping bar purchased from Sinclair but they should not be required when mounting directly to a .22 rimfire receiver made in Germany, the former Czechoslovakia or the Czech Republic, to name a few.

To avoid confusion I advise that Sportsmatch always quote true dovetail width, i.e. 15 mm for ZKW 465 / CZ 527 / Brno Model 1 / Brno Model 4 and early Brno Model 2; whereas others may quote 16-17 mm dependent upon width at the top of the cut (which is irrelevant). They also quote 17 mm, as opposed to 19 mm, for ring-mounts to fit: Brno Model 21/22, Brno ZG 47, Brno ZKK, CZ 537 and CZ 550 rifles. NB Whenever I have made an email query to the company, I have had a prompt, courteous and informative response from the son of the late founder, who has run the company for several years.
