I've always been one to make fun of the Airsofters, but a buddy let me run his Glock 19 gas gun and it was shockingly good training. I'm totally uneducated on this technology and want something for training that will give good feedback and few problems. I have no problem spending a little to get a good training tool. The following is what I believe my buddy has.

What do you suggest and why? Thanks.

Re: Airsoft training help

Good luck finding new Glock Airsoft. Asia is not shipping them into the USA because Glock sued most of them for trademark infringements. Keep an eye on Craigslist.org if you want one but be prepared to pay. I have had a few for a while and are nice to run drills with from time to time.

This thread help me to make the decision to purchase one as a training supplement.

Re: Airsoft training help

a KWA Glock is what you want, they are all discontinued though due to being sued by glock, if you can find one, grab it, they are high quality and are a great training tool, my buddy has a few, and they really do work well.

Re: Airsoft training help

KWA or KSC are both worthy of your dollar. Stay away from the 18C full auto. The selector switch is a weak point and many of them will be stuck on full auto. If you can pick up a spare mag, do it. You might end up buying two handguns to get the mags. I wish I saw how high quality these things are years ago when they were easy to get. If you shoot Sig, Beretta, 1911 or HK, KWA makes many great working steel gas operated clones.

You could take a chance with customs and order direct from Asia. I emailed them and they said they will cover the trades and apply the orange paint to the tip to be in compliance. Not a bad price but shipping is a little high. Stock might be an issue.

Re: Airsoft training help

I shoot a Springfield XD and a Kahr T9 so it doesn't have to be a Glock. The HK KP8C looks good. Do I have to use the safety or just leave it on fire all the time. Is it a DAO trigger or SA/DA? Thanks guys.

I was a huge .22 trainer guy, but this may be even better and a hell of a lot cheaper. It also allows us to do more moving drills where even a .22 may not be safe.

Thanks for the help guys. Keep it coming.
